Kelly’s Korner – Gratitute Layout

Hello! Hello! Fall greetings from the Korner and a few friends!

Nuts about you

Have you spotted the newest Illustrated Faith collection by Bella Blvd?  I couldn’t help but notice it since it matches my magic craftroom to a T !  There’s lovely seafoam with shades of pink, deep peach and black.

Annnnnd…….there’s my craftroom!

Just sayin’, I think they’re reading my mind over at Bella Blvd, LOL.

Bella Blvd has designed a fun and funky fall collection you can use for thanksgiving, family and friends. Perfect for this time of year!  Since I was just on holiday to visit my very own BFF, I couldn’t wait to make it my own.

I hand drew an acorn on some printing paper, cut it out and traced that on to my background paper. If you’d like a copy of it, just leave me a comment below. Using  a craft knife, I cut-out the acorn shape leaving a giant whole in my background!

Never fear! Using strips cut from the printed paper, I covered the paper cut-out  and filled in the hole.  Just remember to make it a little bigger than the hole.

It’s starting to come together! Let the fun begin 😀

I used my new Heart Shaped, Clear Cut Punch by We’R Memory Keepers  to help fashion this little collage in the corner.  The sweet squirrels are stamps by Neat & Tangled, called ‘My Favourite Nut’ #NAT230  I love that little envelope!

I added some hand stitching around my acorn with embroidery floss. I love that look, it really makes things pop off your page.

Do acorns and squirrels remind you of fall?

We have a fab collection of these new punches at Urban and they’re pretty cool, check them out!

I hope your day is filled with colour too!

Here’s the beautiful sunrise in Edmonton today!

Cheers, from Kelly’s Korner

  1. What a delightful layout. I’m nuts…and nuts about you, so how perfect. And how kind of them to coordinate the paper line with your BoomRoom. I love your crafting space. Tell Mr. Korner that you need to add another floor with a winding staircase so you can spread out. 🙂 Then I’ll fly in for some crafting sessions.

    1. LOL, I’ll tell him but he won’t be listening! I actually just did a major clean up in his office so I can sew in there. Eager to use the patterns we got at Jo-Ann’s. I wish I could empty both rooms. Fill them with Ikea cubbies and draws and tables……I gotta stay off of Pinterest 😀 LOL Thanks again for hosting me xo I had so much fun

  2. Love the paper/craft designs and of course as long as there’s a seafoam/aquacized paper – it’s definitely YOU YOU YOU! Your craft room just oozes all that creativity and art-si-ness you possess Kelly – keep on creating – you are a real artist my friend.

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)

    1. Hello dearest and thank you so much for your kind and generous words. There’s no secret to my favourite room in the house. I can’t wait to spend time in the craft room whipping up stuff. I try to keep the rest of the house pretty neutral….if you call a seafoam sofa neautral, LOL

Big hugs to you and Teddy too xo K
