Summer Fun by Echo Park
The kit includes 4 Designer Papers, 2 Cardstock, Chipboard Accents, a Stencil, 2 Trims, Ink and Die-cuts too. Did you catch the sneak peek on Saturday?
There’ll be loads of inspiration and possibilities here all month-long, but today we’re featuring Design Team Member, Krista!
I think it’s totally fun how Krista used the Black cardstock as the background for her layout! It’s unexpected and really pops the colourful Designer Papers right off the layout!
Krista used plain white texture paste with the stencil included in this kit. It really complements the chipboard which is also highlighted in white. It adds a bit of relief from the colourful paper and texture too. Notice the torn edge of that paper here? Texture, texture, texture! Resist cutting every bit of paper with your trimmer. Get wild, get reckless, be free to add interesting texture through out your designs.
Krista inked the paper die-cuts in the kit and layered them to make one big luscious focal point, a coral flower ! Did you notice how the pink trim continues from the boat tow rope in the upper photo? I also see some stitching across the page, which I always love! Speaking of stitching, have you spotted the lastest fun at Urban?
The Stitch Happy is finally here! After creating a giant buzz at Creativation (CHA) this past winter, we can finally get our eager, crafty paws on one of our very own 😀 I can’t wait to add beautiful rows of bakers twine to my next project. If you’re hoping to scoop one too, don’t think about it too long! They’re disappearing fast.
Everytime I look at Krist’s page, I notice something new and think, “I need to try that”. She used an embossing folder and a scrap of pink paper to make interesting photo corners that look awesome with the yellow frame around the photo.
Thanks for the inspiration Krista. So many fun and original ideas.
