“Coffee, when your brain needs a hug!”
It’s just one of the fresh sentiments found on Altnew’s stamp set called, ‘Coffee Love’. With a coffee-house on every corner, you no doubt have more than a few friends that
could not, would not go a day without their coffee.
Danielle’s cheeky and fun Father’s Day card incorporates, ‘Love You More Than Coffee’ from this stamp set.
After dying seam binding with two shades of Distress Ink, Danielle neatly tucked it between the layers. I always love this technique since it helps the ribbon stays in place. A double bow doesn’t require much more ribbon but looks a lot more luxurious. Visit Tammy Tutterow’s Blog to learn a great trick for tieing multi-looped bows.
We recommend stamping with Archival Ink if you want to colour with Tim Holtz – Distress Crayons. Especially if you like to blend your colours with a water brush, as Danielle has here. Colouring and blending really helps bring a flat image to life, don’t you think? Notice the white highlights? Danielle added them to mimic a shine on the ceramic mug and kettle.
A white gel pen did the trick. The best thing about using a stamp set is that you can customize the stamps to any Designer paper or ribbon you want to use !! They’ll never look the same twice.
