April Page Kit Challenge – Dorothy

Hello friends, did you have a nice Easter? It sure didn’t seem like spring out there, but perhaps you got time in your craft room instead. Our monthly page kit was a great Rx for the less than perfect weather.

This month, our kit includes a collection of fresh and whimsical papers designed by Traci Smith for Photoplay.

Photoplay - In Bloom available at The Urban Scrapbook

I’m no Dr., but I’m pretty sure, working with ‘In Bloom’ will put a smile on your face and have you feeling spring in your heart, even if it’s late to arrive in our neighbourhoods. It looks like it worked on Dorothy.

April Page Kit Challenge - Dorothy

Dorothy made great use of the sticker sheet don’t you think? That’s a ‘Challenge Smackdown’ in my books. Way to scrap Dorothy!

Did you notice what Dorothy did with the umbrella sticker? That’s right, it’s up-side-down, dangling from the G in SPRING…..that’s so creative and fun. The clouds floating around the layout are a Memory Box die.

I also love the machine sewing on Dorothy’s layout, the circles are a nice landing spot for all the other elements. Check out the word SPRING….just sewing right through the middle! Outrageous! It sure draws your eye to the title doesn’t it?

Finally, let’s peak at the matting of the photo’s. I love that they mimic Polaroids (remember them) because they’re great with the Polaroid camera sticker. The stitched frames are a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Square dies and adds even more texture.

I hope you we’ve inspired you today!
