February Monthly Challenge – Dorothy

Good Morning fellow crafters! Happy Family Day!
Today we have Dorothy’s February layout on the the blog.

FEBRUARY 2017 - Page Challenge - Dorothy

Dorothy was inspired by the beautiful images on the Floral paper to hand-cut her flowers and leaves. Inking the edges gives each piece a finished look. She has also cut out a few of the same image and layered them to create a 3-d look. A beautifully tied bow added to her center cluster brings attention to her photo. I know many of you struggle with tying nice bows, you might want to ask Dorothy her secret next time you see her at the store! Love what she has done with her piece of gold marble vellum; die-cutting with the Tim Holtz Globe (660214) Thinlits die. Her frame around the photo is die-cut with the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp Bigz die (658572). The small journaling underneath her title was typed on her patterned paper using the new We R Memory Keepers Typewriter. The perfect tool for those of us who don’t like our own handwriting! Fantastic layout, Dorothy! I know you are missing your daughter, Vicki. I think we should do an Urban Scrapbook Field Trip to Australia and join her, anybody else agree?
