Hello fellow crafters! Yeah, it’s Friday! Any plans for a crafty weekend? Yesterday we received a few things that you just might want to pick up. But, first we want to show you our last Monthly Challenge layout for January. This one is from Dorothy:
Dorothy has used the torn paper technique with some of her patterned paper on the top and bottom of her layout. Love how she has tucked some of her stickers and die-cut snowflakes in-between the layers. The machine stitching around her layout really gives it a finished look. She has created a few tags from her paper for layering instead of just strips or squares of the different papers. The fine splatter of paint on her white space fills it in without making it too busy. This can be achieved with different sprays, a splatter brush or a marker Spritzer. The spritzer is a hand-operated tool where your marker is inserted on the end and a bulb is squeezed, releasing air to spritz your marker ink onto your project. The spray is finer and is a little easier when applying to smaller areas. Great layout, Dorothy!
Well, that’s the last of our layouts for January. Hope you enjoyed them as much as we did. We are going to miss that wonderful mix of blues, white, and that pop of red on the wall. Stay tuned for February’s though, love the papers in this next one!
