Good morning! It’s a beautiful day here on this Friday morning, hopefully the whole weekend is like this.  We have Danielle’s layout on the blog today, enjoy!

In a previous post, we mistakenly blogged that it was Danielle’s layout, but it actually was Dorothy’s! Sorry about that, ladies.  It has been corrected and we have are featuring our newest design team member, Danielle today.

Danielle has nicely pulled out the colors in her photo using a coordinating mat and creating her own mat using a teal IZINK ink over white paper. As mentioned in one of our previous posts, these inks are quite versatile and can function as either inks or paints. For this layout, the ink was placed on a craft mat and applied to the paper using a blending foam. This same method was used to tint the edges of the clouds. She also altered her background by fussy cutting out the sun rays and mounting them on black cardstock to make the yellow colour pop.
We love the dimension Danielle has added in the corner of the photo by layering and using pop dots between her stamp and clouds.
We are looking forward to what you’ll do next month Danielle!

Have  a great weekend,

The Urban Scrapbook
