Good morning everyone!  We have Elaine’s June layout on the blog today:

Elaine surprised us this month with using just one photo!  She usually uses quite a few, but decided to go with one large and very beautiful photo.  Elaine created a banner for her title using her ribbon, twine, and paper.  The letters were die-cut from Sizzix’s Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Thinlits set.

The gold highlights on her die-cut globe (Tim Holtz), edges of the background paper and embossed world paper are a nice touch.  This is achieved by applying a glue that dries tacky, such as “Flitterglu” first, then rubbing foil onto the tacky parts.  Her embossed paper was also highlighted softly with ink.
Gorgeous layout, Elaine!

In case you missed this!

Hope you join us!

  1. Hi Lynette, I think this Art Bar is adorable. Love the aqua ballon and Dr Seuss is truly one of my all time favourite word smythes. “Oh the places you'll go” is really inspiring this month for the Class of 2016. Great design choices xo K

  2. Love that torn page, just wide enough to run thru the BigShot in the embossing folder. I would not have thought of that Elaine, Bravo, great technique. I also like how the negative of the diet Alphabet is actually your sea form colour….totally out of the box. Really inspiring my dearest xo
