Hello fellow scrapbookers!  We have Laurie’s June layout on the blog today:

In this month’s kit, there is a roll of washi tape.  We all love washi tape but a lot of us aren’t sure what to do with it.  It’s always fun to see what each design team member comes up with, using the same product.  Laurie used hers two different ways, one tearing it in strips and then inking the edges to soften.  The other is applying the tape to cardstock and then die-cutting her words out.  The words are die-cut using Tim Holtz Script Thinlits dies.  There are a few different theme packages in the script words, this one is Adventure (660224).  Laurie has used a few different parts of words to create her word, Thailand.

Laurie has cut out a journaling card from the Journal Cards Sheet of paper, and embossed the middle with the Carta Bella World Map embossing folder and then embossed the edges with the Carta Bella Compass embossing folder.  We love this fun idea of cutting out the plane from her paper and then with her twine and brads, created the flying route from Canada to Thailand.
Awesome layout, Laurie!
