Karen has used the circle theme from BoBunny’s Greenhouse paper (Secret Garden collection) and created further dimension and interest. Punching (or die cutting) out large circles, she has enhanced some of them with fine glitter, or matting with a larger circle underneath, and pop-dotting them. This is a great way to use up leftover small pieces of patterned paper.
Karen’s die-cut flowers are from the Secret Garden ephemera pack that is included in each kit. She used her craft knife to slit along some of the printed petals to give them added dimension. Lifting the edges and bending them a bit adds interest to the flat embellishments.
Her center piece of patterned paper is matted with the green cardstock which has been giving a pinked edge. That border really makes the cardstock edge stand out. We all have those border punches, time to dust them off and use them! The edge is finished off with some machine stitching. When more than one patterned paper is used together, try placing a plain paper or cardstock in-between or a very small print with a larger one. This stops your page from looking too busy.
Beautiful layout, Karen!
