Good morning fellow crafters! Well, it’s cold here today, -23C (-9F) and with the windchill, -31C.  At least we can say, it’s good scrapbooking weather!  It’s a good day to scrapbook those winter pages and we have Vicki’s layout for inspiration on the blog today:

It doesn’t look like it was -23C in these photos!  Vicki has used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Frameworks Courtyard die (659429) and cardstock to create a pattern on her background paper.  These Frameworks dies(there are currently 6 different patterns) are a steel-rule die and are thick like a Bigz die, which means you can cut out chipboard, fabric, craft foam, plastic, craft aluminum, or leather.  Basically, anything that scissors can cut through.  There is a new one called, Crosshatch that is coming out in February.  These dies are great for creating repeating pattern backgrounds, or just smaller pieces for accents.  Also they are good for mixed media projects.  The die-cut tree is also from Tim Holtz, Woodlands 660978.
Awesome layout, Vicki!

We have a new class from Dawn coming up and there are still a few openings.  Want to try something different and expand your creativity and learn new techniques? This class is for you!
