Good Morning!  We have another Monthly Challenge layout for you today.  This one is from Jan:

Are you getting lots of ideas from all the design team’s layouts?  Here’s a different way to use your stencils.  The airplane stencil in the kit was used with gilding flakes and a special glue used with these flakes called FlitterGlu. Applying glue with your stencil instead of another medium such as ink or paint, is easy but make sure you wash your stencil immediately to remove excess glue.  Let the stencilled glue pattern dry before applying the flakes.  This glue is still tacky once it’s dried so the gilding flakes stick easily.  A square was drawn with the glue free-hand, then allowed to dry before applying the flakes too.
The Tim Holtz Globe Thinlits die (660214) and Scribbles Thinlits die (660222) were used on her layout.

For those of you who missed our email, we are having another fun Urban Art Bar night!  Never painted before?  No worries, Lynette will walk you through each step, so you can create this awesome mixed media canvas.  Your supplies are included in the price.

Thanks for visiting us here on the Urban blog!

  1. Another terrific Layout Jan. I have to say, I was really stumped this month. After a failed attempt I gave it another go. Yet you seem to be able to make each kit look fresh and new and totally different than anything else I see. Thanks for the Flitterglue tip too. I didn't know to leave it dry before adding flakes. The photo's you chose only enhance your work. The red boat and blue sky, perfect with this line of paper xoK
